Tribute: William H. Green

GIRARD, Ohio – William H. Green, 87, of Girard, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.

Bill was born June 8, 1929, in Girard, Ohio, the son of Louis and Ruth Tillery Green.

Bill had worked as a steelworker for U.S. Steel, McDonald Works and Copperweld in Girard and Youngstown, retiring in 1978.

He had coached baseball for T-ball, Colt and Pony league teams for 41 years. He loved fishing and hunting and all of the Cleveland teams.

Bill was an Army veteran serving his country during WWII.

He is survived by his wife, the former, Helen Palko, whom he married July 10, 1954, his daughter Diana (Michael) Gaitanis of Simpsonville, SC, son Timothy (Theresa) Green of McDonald, grandchildren; William (Bethany) Gaitanis, Michael (Leslie) Gaitanis and Amanda (Josh) Camuso , great-grandchildren; Aiden, Lucas James, Reed and Cohen, sisters, Shirley Rounds of Girard and Patricia Calland of Lynchburg, VA. and step-brother, Louis Reese of Poland and step-sister Rosetta Reese of Niles.

Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sisters, Ethel Davidson, Jane Burr, and Mary Louise Kelch, and brothers, David, Robert and Louis Green.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 7:00 p.m., at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Girard City Cemetery on Friday at 11:30 a.m. where Bill will be honored with a military service.

Tribute: Mary Ann Luich

NILES, Ohio – Mary Ann Luich, 91, died at 7:50 a.m. on Sunday August 7, 2016 at the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home following a long illness.

She was born in Etna, Pennsylvania on May 10, 1925 the daughter of Joseph N. and Anna M. (Stavlenich) Luich.

She graduated from St. Stephen Elementary, Niles McKinley High School in 1943 and the Warren Business School.

From 1959 to 1990 she lived in California and while there she was as a secretary for Kaiser Aluminum Company for 22 years and the Clorox Company for 7 years.

She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Oakland.

After retirement she moved back to Niles and was a member of St. Stephen Church where she served as an Eucharistic Minister at the church and to the homebound and was a teacher for the CCD and RICA programs.

Mary Ann is survived by a brother, Michael Luich; two sisters, Katherine Spoljaric and Teresa Jozwiak all of Howland and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Robert, Joseph, William, Anthony Luich and two sisters, Barbara Ann Luich and Magdalen Giunta.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. Rev. James Korda will be the celebrant.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Church.

Tribute: David S. King

LIBERTY, Ohio – David S. King, 60, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

He was born Nov. 27, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Richard and Mary Katherine (James) King.

He graduated from North High School, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University.

He was self-employed as an accountant with King & Co.

He was a former baseball and football coach in Liberty, along with being involved in Liberty wrestling and the E.O.W.L., where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012. He also was a member of numerous bocce leagues. He was a car enthusiast, but especially loved Corvettes.

He spent a lot of time with his dog, KC, whom he loved greatly.

David was an amazing husband, father, and friend and will be lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Teresa Ann Pilolli, whom he married on Nov. 8, 1980; son David King of Liberty; mother Mary Katherine of Youngstown; eight brothers, Bob (Sabrina), Jim (Nancy), Tom, Richard (Theresa), Harry (Molly), Dean (Gloria), John (Diana) and Tim (Kaylou); and one sister, Kathy King; along with several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.

A service will be held for David, while also celebrating his wonderful life, at the Brentford House on Thursday, August 11 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., 737 Myron St. Hubbard.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Rising Star Baptist Church for Mr. William Harry Mauzy, Jr., 79, of Youngstown, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Mercy Health (St. Elizabeth Health Center)- Main.

Mr. Mauzy, affectionately known as “Billy”, was born December 15, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of William H. Sr. and Margaret Gravely Mauzy.

He was a 1954 graduate of The Rayen School.

William had been employed for 32 years with General Motors Lordstown as a foreman, retiring in 1998.

He was a member of the American Legion and the NAACP. He was an avid golfer and fisherman; and was a die-hard Cleveland Brown fan. William proudly served in the U. S. Air Force.

He leaves to forever cherish his beloved memories, his devoted wife, the former Darlene Moses, whom he married July 28, 1975; a son William H. Mauzy III; five siblings, George Mauzy and his wife, Paula, David “Danny” Mauzy, Connie Southerland, Dorothy McGee, Esther McCain and her husband, Leon all of Youngstown; five grandchildren, William B., David T., Jasmine M., and Tia Mauzy, and Sydney M. McCullough; two great granddaughters, Nevaeh L. and Gianna J.; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Mauzy and Cecil Bracey; and four sisters, Etta Prestley and Vivian Washington, Charlotte Graham and Margaret Butler.

Visitation hours will be Thursday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.

Tribute: Illona Ann Bulmer

HUBBARD, Ohio – There will be services at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 11, 2016 at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home for Illona Ann Bulmer age 65, of Hubbard who passed away Saturday August 6, 2016 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Illona was born May 19, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Aloys G. & Helen C. Gleydura Martin.

She was a 1969 graduate of Brookfield High School and graduated from The Trumbull Memorial Nursing School. She was a registered nurse from 1972 until her retirement in 2015.

She was a member of the former St. Bernadette Church in Masury.

She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her granddaughter.

Illona will be sadly missed by her family; her mother Helen Martin of Brookfield, her husband John Bulmer whom she married October 8, 2005, her daughters Dr. Julie Macker of Columbia, South Carolina, and Jennifer (Mike) Timko of Howland, and her granddaughter Lauren Illona Timko. She also leaves her brothers Karl (Vicki) Martin of Burghill, Michael (Rene) Martin of Brookfield, John Martin of Masury, and Paul (Karen) Martin of Jamestown, PA.

Besides her father she was preceded in death by her infant sister Marilyn Martin.

There will be calling hours on Wednesday August 10, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday August 11, 2016 one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Illona will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.

Tribute: Rosena Hills

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Ms. Rosena Hills, 97, of Youngstown, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at her home with loving family by her side.

Ms. Hills was born August 14, 1918 in Tallahassee, Florida, a daughter of John and Annetta Bryant Hills.

Rosena completed her high school education in 1973 at John Hay High School, graduating 3rd in her class. This was a very proud moment for Rosena and her family.

She had been employed with Yanko Department Store in New Jersey; a volunteer for 10 years with Hospice in Florida; and a machine operator at Forest City Products in Cleveland for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1982.

Ms. Hills was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a member of the Salvation Army both in Cleveland. She is presently a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown.

She enjoyed watching movies once a week, cooking, dancing, baseball and football. She loved to crochet and knit and had received several awards for her crafts. Rosena, being known for her cooking, had even prepared a banquet for Senator Harry Metzenbaum.

She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her peace, a host of nieces and nephews including, Jennie Tarr and her husband Albert with whom she made her home, Robert Hills of Youngstown who helped to care for her, Rosena Hill Jackson and her husband, Jason of South Orange, New Jersey; and a host of other family and friends.

Her parents and sixteen siblings preceded her in death.

Visitation hour will be on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 707 Tabernacle Blvd. (formerly Arlington Avenue).

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

WARREN, Ohio – Helen T. Vouvounas, 95, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at St. Joseph Health Center.

She was born October 6, 1920 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Pantelis and Paraskevi Sarandos.

Helen was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

She was a waitress at the Brown derby on Youngstown Rd. for 25 years and was the co-owner of Liberty Restaurant on Main St. for 10 years.

Helen was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren and a member of the Yasou Club and Senior Citizens Group. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, and dancing especially to Greek music.

She is survived by her husband Athanasios “Tom” Vouvounas, nine children Perry Vouvounas of Cortland, OH, Pete (Jaqueline) Vouvounas of Howland, OH, Angela (Christopher) Kalafatis of Dallas, TX, Parisa (Frank) Gombarcik of Howland, OH, Demetra Vouvounas and Christos Vouvounas both of Houston, TX, Nick Vouvounas of Bayshore, Long Island NY, Maria (Curtis) Elder of Warren, OH, and Joanna (Edward) Colucci of Girard, OH, Eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and a half sister Mary Barber.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Jim Grekon, a brother Gus Sarandos, a half-brother Alex Grekon and a sister Argera Kakiou.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Trisagion Service and Friday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483.

A service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.

Burial will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Tribute: Alan P. Beaudis

POLAND, Ohio – Alan P. Beaudis, 65, passed away Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016, at Hospice House, surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Alan was born April 28, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Michael and Florence Walsh Beaudis, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a 1969 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, attended Youngstown State University, and was a custodian for the Poland Local Schools for the past 18 years.

Mr. Beaudis was a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland, where he was a former adult altar server. He was also a former member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Alan enjoyed woodworking and was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed coaching his son’s soccer teams and spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy Kohler Beaudis, whom he married March 10, 1973; his son, James C. (Jaime) Beaudis of Austintown; his daughter, Stephanie A. Beaudis of Poland; two brothers, Michael (Peggy) Beaudis of Austintown and Marty McMasters of Austintown; a sister-in-law, Marianne Kohler of Boardman; several nieces and a nephew, whom he loved dearly; and a stepsister, Diane (Tom) Malloy of Canfield.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown.

NORTH LIMA, Ohio – There will be a funeral service at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the Good Shepherd Sta. Rosa de Lima Church, 394 Tenney Ave. in Campbell, with the Rev. Shawn Conoboy celebrating the life of Mary Collins, 91, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 19, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Stella (Innhouse) Lamana.

Mary worked for 30 years as a nurse’s assistant at Assumption Village.

Her husband, James H. Collins Jr., passed away in 1993.

Mary enjoyed music, crocheting, shopping, going to casinos and her pets, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She will be remembered lovingly by her three children, Constance (David) Collins-Gasior of Youngstown, Patricia Collins of Girard, and James H. III (Anabel) Collins of Poland; nine grandchildren, Nancy Brancho, Stella (Willie) Stanley, Robert Brancho, Ruben Rodriguez, Constance (Angelo) Morales, Heather and Karina Collins, and Celia and Elena Andino; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister Rose Bowman.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister Katherine Soles.

Tribute: Andrew “Andy” R. Sinchak

GARFIELD HEIGHTS (CORTLAND), Ohio – Andrew “Andy” R. Sinchak, Sr., 94, of Garfield Heights and formerly of Cortland, entered into eternal life, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 3:40 a.m. at Villa St. Joseph Skilled Nursing Facility in Garfield Heights under the comforting care of hospice.

Mr. Sinchak was born on July 31, 1922 in West Aliquippa, Pennsylvania the son of the late Michael and Susan Hudak Sinchak and was a 1940 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

Andy was retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a mail carrier for more than 26 years.

A member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Andy enjoyed polka dancing and was a member of the VFW Post 1090 in Cortland.

A veteran of the United States Marines, Andy served his country in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

Andy was married on November 15, 1947 to the former Irene H. Granchay and they were married for 52 years until her passing on September 4, 2000.

He is survived by two sons Ronald A. of Macedonia and David M. of Marion; a brother Del (Helen) Sinchak of Boardman; three grandchildren Stephanie (Brett) White, Joseph and Jeffrey Sinchak and two great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, Andy was preceded in death by two sons Pfc. Andrew R. Sinchak Jr. who was killed in action in Vietnam and Ralph P. Sinchak; a daughter-in-law Lorraine (Skeba) Sinchak and siblings Michael Sinchak, Ann Novak, Steve, John and Joseph Sinchak.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with Fr. Craig McHenry officiating, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:10 a.m. in the funeral home prior in leaving for the church. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Johnathan L. Watters, 21, who passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from a fatal automobile accident.

He was born Sept. 15, 1994, in Youngstown, the son of David and Dina (Dixon) Watters.

He worked at Lindsy Construction and Design and enjoyed working with his uncle, Garrett at Team Automotive.

Johnathan enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, playing X-box, and spending time with his son, Mason David.

He loved nature and especially enjoyed sitting around the campfire with his friends.

He will always be remembered lovingly by his mother; three month old son, Mason David Watters; sister Christin Watters (John Getsy); fiance Priscilla Truchan; maternal grandmother Donna Dixon; paternal grandparents Dan and Joan Watters; aunts and uncles, Garrett (Amy) Dixon, Jayme Schulick (Jeff Broll), Anthony (Terri) Watters, and Debbie (Rich) Gulu; cousin Kylee Schulick; and many great-aunts, great-uncles and second cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal great-grandparents Lena and John Alfona; and maternal grandfather Lawrence Dixon.

Tribute: Rodney Alan Donald

WARREN, Ohio – Rodney Alan Donald, 53, of Warren, OH passed at home with his family at his side on August 6, 2016 after a courageous nine month battle with leukemia.

He was born December 24, 1962 in Napoleon, OH, a son of the late Roger Donald and the late Joan Nutter-Murray.

He attended Mathews High School where he met the love of his life Cindy Greco whom he married on October 21, 1991.

He was self employed as a construction worker, and also as a Steelworker at Warren Steel Holdings.

Rodney enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, fishing, cooking, watching football and the History channel as well as spending time with his family and friends. He loved spending his summers assisting with his daughters’ softball teams.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 24 years, Cindy Donald of Warren, OH, daughters, Alexandra and Alyssa Donald of Warren, OH, sister, Misty (Richard) Williams of NC, brother, Craig Lossen of Howland, OH, sister, Eva (Bill Enderton) Davis of Warren, OH, father and mother-in-law, Louis (Donna Valicenti) Greco formerly of Vienna, now of Bonita Springs, FL sister-in-law, Cheryl (Tony)Sylvester, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Eric Davis.

A memorial service will be held at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Ave. Warren, OH 44481, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Tribute: Louis Martinelli

SALEM, Ohio – Louis Martinelli, age 93, of Salem, died peacefully on August 8, 2016 at his home after a long illness.

He was born January 29, 1923, in Huey, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Emilio and Anna (Iannini) Martinelli.

He was always strongly devoted to family. Starting in 9th grade, he rushed home from school so he could walk out to the coal mine to work alongside his father until midnight mining coal. All the other miners were gone for the day. Louis didn’t want his father to be alone in the mine.

After graduating from Salem High School in 1942 he joined the U.S. Army Signal Aviation and was stationed during WWII in Iceland where he operated radar. Upon returning home after the war, he married the love of his life, Helen Longo, on April 24, 1946 and spent 68 wonderful years together. They had six children. He spent his life as a devoted, loving husband and father.

Most of his life he spent as a plumber and pipefitter. When he retired from Union Local 396 Plumbers and Pipefitters in 1987, he kept himself busy using his talents to do a variety of projects for his family and friends. Through the years he had picked up knowledge of all trades and found no project too intimidating to tackle.

Among his many hobbies were gardening and caring for his grape arbor to make his own wine.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Martinelli of Salem and Teresa (George) Davis of Liberty Township; three sons, Joseph Martinelli, Raymond (Deborah) Martinelli, and John Martinelli all of Salem; four grandchildren, Jessica Martinelli, Julia Martinelli, Andrew Davis, Rebecca (Victor) Brotzman; a great grandson, Blake Brotzman; a brother, Anthony Martinelli; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Helen who died December 2014, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce; his parents; his sisters, Matilda Centifonti, and Aurora Centifonti; and two infant sisters.

A mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating.

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Stark Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.

GIRARD, Ohio – Jeanne Marie Gill, 70, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born in Warren on January 12, 1946 the daughter of Paul E. and June Marie (Lord) Raub Sr.

She was a 1964 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1967 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Pupil Personnel Services.

She retired as a teacher and a state certified guidance counselor from the Niles City Schools. Throughout her career, she taught at Bonham, Garfield, Washington and Edison Schools and specialized in reading and math.

She was a member of St. Stephen Church and enjoyed flower gardening, charter boating and fishing on Lake Erie, collecting turtles, eating chocolates and playing tennis during her college years. She also loved the school activities and most of all she cherished the time spent with her family.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Arthur B. Gill whom she married on December 20, 1969; step-daughter, Deborah Scott of Coshocton; four brothers, Paul E. (Jenie) Raub Jr. of South Carolina, Frank L. Raub of Austintown, Karl (Crisceda) Raub of Vienna, Rex C. Raub of Niles; two sisters, Patricia Lauer of Howland, Barbara (Robert Sr.) Post of North Jackson; 15 nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – Noon at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.

The Funeral will follow at Noon.

WARREN, Ohio – Ralph P. “Pete” DePietro Jr., 80, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

He was born May 16, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph P. Sr. and Lillian DePietro.

He was a 1955 graduate of Youngstown East High School. He retired from Plant Security at Packard Electric after thirty-two and a half years. Pete was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren.

He is survived by his wife Marlene DePietro who he married August 29, 1957, three sons Brion (Sharon) DePietro of Cortland, Greg (Kim) DePietro of Boardman, and Mark (Mary) DePietro of Canton, six grandchildren Matthew, Lauren, Michael, Sarah, and Nicholas DePietro, and Amanda Myers, one great grandson Ethan, a brother Frank DePietro of Youngstown and a sister Delores Liberato of Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Marissa DePietro and a brother Alan DePietro.

GIRARD, Ohio – Margaret A. Rex, 95, of Girard, died peacefully Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Heritage Manor with her family at her side.

Margaret was born November 14, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Mary Rose Gallagher Kuzman and Angelo Kuzman, second of eight siblings.

Margaret moved to Girard as a baby and lived her entire life in Girard.

Margaret married Donald George Rex Sr. on August 23, 1941 at St. Rose Church in Girard. Donald passed away April 7, 1996.

Margaret baked cakes for all occasions including many wedding cakes. She made chocolates for Christmas and Easter. She loved to Garden.

She worked for 19 years at J.C.Penney’s in the Liberty plaza retiring in 1982.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory, a son, Don “Buster” (Pat) Rex of Girard, four daughters, Lu (John) Mendenhall of Huntington Beach, Ca., Peggy (Dennis) Hill of Niles, Maureen (Peter) Zeller of Girard, and Kathryn A. Rex of Hubbard, eight grandchildren; Lisa Gilmour, Mark Ameduri, Michael Rex, Katie Rex Martino (Paul), Michele Hill Simon (Eric), Andrew Hill(Jill), Christine Zeller Papa (Jim) and Timothy C. Zeller (Lindsay), fourteen great-grandchildren; Cory Sanford, Justin Sanford, Chelsea Gilmour, Renee Irvine, Rex Irvine, Emily Koehn, Hannah Koehn, Colin Koehn, Kent Hill, Maggie Hill, Rex Papa, Cyrus Papa, Sechylle Zeller and Louis Zeller, a great-great granchild, Hazel Renee Thomas, a sister, Catherine Demas and two brothers, James Kuzman and Robert Kuzman (Barbara). She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two granddaughters, Renee Fond Sanford and Kelli Lynn Rex, a sister, Madeline Kuzman Catone, and three Brothers, George Kuzman, John Kuzman and William Kuzman.

Margaret’s family would like to express their gratitude to Heritage Manor. Margaret spent her last two years under their loving care. We just can’t express how much everyday at Heritage Manor meant to us. Also, we would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.

NILES, Ohio – John Russell Hosey, 50, of Niles, Ohio died following a courageous battle with cancer Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 14, 1966, in Warren, OH, the son of the late Billy L. and Carolyn Ruth (Davis) Hosey.

He married the former Nancy Collins on September 19, 1996. They have shared 19 wonderful years of marriage.

John was a 1984 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, and was employed as a truck driver with Fed Ex Freight for 22 years. He enjoyed watching his children play in their sporting events and was their mentor. He loved to watch basketball and as a past-time he liked working on cars, specifically GTO’s, and drag racing.

John’s memory will be carried on by his loving wife, Nancy E. Hosey of Niles, OH; daughter, Cari Hosey, sons, Jeffrey Hosey and Kenneth Hosey all of Niles, OH; sisters, JoNell (Dan) Delaney of Akron, OH, Jane (Arthur) Eaton of Cortland, OH, Sarah (John) Armstrong of Exeter, NH, Jill (Fred) Magargee of Greenville, PA and Janet Crawford of Champion, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James Jeffrey Hosey.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Robert James “Bob” Gromley, 70, passed away at 3:43 p.m. on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at his home from lung cancer.

He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on December 14, 1945 the son of Arthur J. and Mary (Fleeger) Gromley. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and for 17 years he worked at General Motors in Lordstown. He was a member of the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ and enjoyed visiting with his nieces and nephews. Most of all he loved babysitting and spending time with his grandkids.

Bob is survived by his longtime companion of 31 years, Debbie Leyman of Youngstown; children, Tricia (Michael) Hoskin of Brookfield, Mike Leyman of Youngstown; eight grandchildren, Haley, Riley, Hayden, Hunter, Cooper, Peyton, Harper, Remi Hoskin and a sister, Edna Marlene “Sis” Lipscomb of Dayton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, Vincent, Arthur, Ronald, Barry, Edwin, Joseph Gromley, Arla King and a sister, Althea Joyce Gromley.

She was born September 27, 1956, in Winterset, Iowa, a daughter of Dale and Wanda (Wulff) Welch.

A resident of Andover and Kinsman for the past sixteen years, Sherry was formerly a resident of Iowa.

She graduated in 1974 from Macburg High School in Macburg, Iowa and was employed at the county tax office in Winterset, Iowa. Sherry also owned and operated a craft store and attended the United Methodist Church in Winterset.

In her youth Sherry was a member of 4-H and she enjoyed crafts, quilting, knitting, and cooking; and she loved animals.

Sherry is survived by her husband, James C. Bliss, whom she married August 8, 2000; her step daughter, Carra (Tony) Feniello of Wayland, MI; three step sons, Thomas (Geno) Bliss of Gatesville, TX, Edward (Dana) Bliss of Erie, PA, and Andrew (Wendy) Bliss of Erie, PA; two step grandsons, Jaiden and Jackson; and her two sisters, Vicki Brown of Creston, IA, and Cindy Wiles of Lorimor, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brendan Church for Bianca M. Pasquale, 79, who passed away Wednesday, August 10 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Health Center.

Bianca was born September 13, 1936 in L’Aquila, Italy, a daughter of the late Joseph and Speranza (Mascilli) Rongone.

Bianca graduated from Chaney High School and was a commercial sewer for Weatherby Raincoat Co.

She loved cooking especially her sauce, manicotti, smelts and pitzels. Bianca also loved to crochet and was known through her family and friends for making over 250 afghans for family, friends and organizations (Salvation Army). She enjoyed bowling, loved gardening and taking drives with her husband.

Her husband, Walter E. Pasquale, whom she married July 11, 1959, passed away October 18, 2004.

Bianca is survived by her three children, Carl (Paulette) Pasquale of Youngstown, Jennifer P. Pasquale of Austintown and Janet Smolko of Austintown; five grandchildren, Victoria and Megan Pasquale, Abby (Charlie) Angelo, Michael and Emily Smolko; two great grandchildren, Angeles and Anna; 3 siblings, Frank (Bruna) Rongone of Youngstown, Louisa Damiano of Austintown and Anna (Joseph) Amendolora of Columbiana.

Bianca was also preceded in death by a sister, Amalia Sebastiana.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
