Betty Lou Zimmerman, Austintown, Ohio

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Together again, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, one month before her 100th birthday, Betty Lou (Harris) Zimmerman, passed peacefully in Austintown Healthcare Center. 

She was born in Malta, Ohio on April 1, 1920 to Harry and Alice (Slygh) Harris.

Betty is survived by her children, David (Marian) Zimmerman of Colorado, Marcia (Roger) Schmidt of North Jackson and Nancy (Mike) Adams of Arizona; grandchildren, Jon Schmidt of North Jackson, Amy (Eddie) Yates of North Carolina, Ian (Christina) Griffin of Washington and Max (Francesca Gardiniere) Griffin of Washington and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and siblings, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Zimmerman, in 1995 and her daughter, Jane Griffin.

Betty was a 1942 graduate of Ohio Northern University earning her degree in Pharmacy. It was there that she met and fell in love with her late husband, Walter, who graduated in 1940 with his degree in Pharmacy. They married and opened Zimmerman’s Pharmacy in Austintown. Walter and his good friend and apprentice, Bob Roth, formulated the famous “Zim’s Crack Cream.”   They retired to Tucson, Arizona. Walter passed in 1995 and Betty returned to the area in 2010.

NILES, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Mary Ethel Cline 67, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania on April 5, 1952 the daughter of Don Robert and Sally Lou (Shumaker) Heinbaugh and lived in the Niles community most of her life.

Mary and her husband, Pastor Clyde Cline, Jr., were lifetime members of the Evening Light Apostolic Church.

She loved the church and was involved in all of the church activities.

A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially with her friends Fred and Marcey.

She cherished the time spent with her beloved family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by three sons, Richard (Beth) Cline, Darrell (Denise) Cline, Michael (Katie) Cline; daughter, Christine (Steve Yurga) Cline all of Niles; 12 grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Cline, Matthew (Ashlee) Cline, Andrew (Casey) Cline, Zachary (Desiree) Cline, Alex Cline, Jacqueline Hake, Austin Cline, Mikey Cline, Aaron Cline, Ryan Cline, Allison Cline, Cameron Cline; 9 great-grandchildren Gage, Mason, Peyton, Leighton, Isabella, Zeke, Mia, Ethan, Everly; sister, Mindy (Christopher) Pace of Palmdale, California; brother, Mark (Shirley) Heinbaugh of Niles; her dog, Cici.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Clyde Cline, Jr. whom she married on May 12, 1968 and who passed away on February 13, 2007; two sisters, Polly S. Klink, Kaye Ramer and an infant brother.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Evening Light Apostolic Church where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service.

Pastor Darrell Cline and Michael Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.

NILES, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Mary F. Yeager, age 77, lifelong Niles resident, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 27, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 9, 1942 in Niles, the daughter of Thomas Walter and Anna (Cook) Strohmeyer.

A graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Mary worked for and retired from the Niles City Schools.  

A deeply religious woman, she attended both St. Stephen’s Church in Niles and St. Mary’s Church in Mineral Ridge.

She was very fond of the annual Mount Carmel Festival and adored little children.  

She always wanted to travel, but was unable to achieve that goal.

Precious memories of Mary live on with her four children, Laura Tascione of Girard, Roger Yeager (Kathy) of Masury, Jennifer Salyard (Shane) of Niles and Mary Yeager (Thomas Stitle) of Niles; 10 grandchildren, Anne Yeager, Christina Yeager, Carmen Tascione, Katie Yeager, Christopher Kenney, Brittany Spangler, Brian Kenney, David Yeager, Eric Kenney and Anthony Yeager; two great-grandchildren, Timothy Spangler-Thomas and Sabrina Yeager; two sisters, Anna Barbara Strohmeyer of Lordstown and Catherine Helen Parker of Lordstown, formerly of Niles; two brothers, Thomas Strohmeyer (Rocio) of Canton and Joseph Strohmeyer (Sherry) of Struthers; many nieces and nephews and their families.

Preceding her in death are her parents; one sister, Theresa Strohmeyer; three brothers John, Bernard and Stephen Strohmeyer; one sister-in-law, Maxine Strohmeyer.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 3504 S Main Street, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440 with Father Richard Murphy officiating.  

Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Niles. Friends may call from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 2 at the church.

Raymond P. LaSure, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Raymond P. LaSure, 62 passed away early Wednesday evening, February 26.

Ray graduated from Painted Post West High School, attended community college majoring in broadcasting and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy for 9 and a half years on the USS Denver LPD 9 and the USS Kansas City. He was awarded Sea Service Ribbon with a Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Award and Expeditionary Medal with a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. 

Ray worked in broadcasting in Cleveland, Ohio, at the WCLV and WRMR until their closing, He then worked for several agencies in the health care field including Easter Seals and Celtic Health Care until his illness started.

Ray had a passion for Amateur Ham Radio and was a proud member of the Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club, where he was a mentor, a Volunteer Examiner for new or up grading Ham Radio Operators and lector in the field of Digital Mobil Radio.  

He was a member of Amateur Radio Emergency Service and served as an assistant emergency coordinator for Mahoning County.  

He also participated with the Panerathon, Peace Race, Special Olympics and Field Day among other things, with the Amateur Radio Club. 

 Ray was also a former Foster Parent for Mahoning County Children Services.   

Raymond leaves his wife Marilyn Ramunno, whom he married on September 7, 2003

He also leaves a brother, Frank LaSure; a sister, Marybeth LaSure; an uncle, Francis Avagliano all of Corning New York.

 Other survivors include, all of his wife’s family and friends who were there to help in anyway during Ray’s five year battle with Multiple Myeloma; three special boys, Elijah, Marcus and Herbert who he considered his grandsons and their mother, Tiauna of Cleveland, Ohio.  

To all of his Amature Ham Radio Friends to which he bids his final 73s K8NVY.

We would also like to thank the Veterans Administrations, Comfort Keepers and Southern Care Hospice. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Family and friends will gather from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 and from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. on Monday, March 2 in Schiavone Funeral Home.

Arthur F. Baltes, Warren, Ohio

WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Arthur F. Baltes, Jr. a lifelong resident of Warren, passed away peacefully late Thursday evening, February 27, 2020, following a brief illness, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

He was born July 21, 1940 in Youngstown.

Art attended and graduated from the machine trades class at Warren G. Harding High School in 1959.

He began working as a machinist for Wean United immediately following graduation and retired in 1995.

Art married his grade school sweetheart, Kathy Black, on his 21 birthday in 1961, just so he would never forget their anniversary, he always said. They have shared 58 amazing years of marriage, three children, six grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

He loved to spend time with the family, laugh and pick on the grandkids. He also enjoyed his Cleveland sports teams and all Mother Nature had to offer, especially fishing.

Art is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; sister, Faithe (James) MacNeal; daughter, Katherine Baltes; son, Arthur (Andrea) Baltes; daughters-in-law, Michele Baltes and Patty Howard. He also leaves his grandchildren Falyn (Adam) Krupsa, Kayla (Kurtis) Brown, Broc (Tiffany) Baltes, Ashley (Corey) Dlouhy, AJ (Cortnee) Baltes, Hallie Baltes and Gavin Lubianetzki; his nephew, Kaz (Kristin) Unalan; niece, Dilara (Sean) Casey and four great-grandsons to carry on his love of life.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Baltes.

The family will hold a private memorial service and internment at a later date.

STRUTHERS, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Marilyn F. Carbone, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, February 27, 2020 into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Marilyn was born January 31, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Ann Opar Semonza.

A life-long resident of Struthers, Marilyn was a graduate of Struthers High School, Class of 1958 and became secretary to the assistant superintendent, Thelma Wildpret, of Struthers City Schools.

In 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, Michael Carbone, and they reared three wonderful children.

Marilyn loved being a homemaker and fully invested her life in her family.

Marilyn had the gift of hospitality and she entertained family and company in her home for many years, becoming well known for her Italian and Polish meals and her delicious pies and cakes and other desserts. She will always be remembered for her annual Thanksgiving turkey dinners with all the trimmings.

Marilyn was also a true baseball fan always rooting for her Cleveland Indians since 1948.

Marilyn was a beautiful person filled with God’s love and compassion. She loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime. She was kind to everyone and would always tell her children “if you can’t say anything nice about someone don’t say anything at all.”

She was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church where in her younger days was involved in many ministries.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 59 years, Michael Carbone whom she married October 22, 1960; two daughters, Michelle (George) Horodnic of Poland and Carolyn (David) Rivello of Rochester, New York; one son, Michael (Karen) Carbone of Lewisville, North Carolina; one grandson, Grayson Carbone; two sisters, Jane Nugen of Struthers and Kathy (Dan) Pavlansky of Yadkinville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Peter (Sandy) Carbone of Struthers. She also leaves many happy and loving memories with her nieces, nephews and their children of wonderful visits with “Aunt Mare” as she was called. She also leaves her best friends from high school “The Club Girls” who met monthly through the years.

Her family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and health care professionals for all of their kindness and dedication in treating Marilyn.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highway Tabernacle Church.

Interment will follow in the Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland, Ohio.

Friends will be received Sunday, March 1 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and Monday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.

Carol Ann (Massie) Haynes, Struthers, Ohio

STRUTHERS, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Carol Ann Haynes, 80, passed away with her children at her side, Wednesday evening, February 26, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Carol was born April 3, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Leonard and Elma Gorgas Massie. Carol was raised in Struthers and spent the majority of her life residing in California until returning to Struthers several years ago.

After graduating from Struthers High School, Class of 1957, Carol was re-introduced to fellow Struthers High School Alumni, Bruce “Pete” Booher, who was home on leave from the U.S. Marine Corps. After a whirlwind romance, Pete and Carol were married four months later on September 4, 1957.

They resided in San Diego, California, where Pete was stationed as an aviator fighter pilot. Pete served three tours in Vietnam and during his first deployment, Carol, along with her three small children lived with Carol’s family in Struthers.

In November of 1961, when Pete was home on leave, they tragically lost their 18 month old daughter, Carolyn “Carrie” to viral pneumonia. Carrie’s death forever changed their lives and Pete and Carol later divorced, though they always remained dear to each other.

At the conclusion of Pete’s third tour in Vietnam, he and Carol permanently made their family home in Orange, California.

In the early 1970’s, Carol attended Saddle Back College in Mission Viejo, California and Santa Ana Community College and later received her Real Estate Brokers license.

A self-employed Real Estate Appraiser Broker, Carol worked for numerous companies in California and Ohio. In August of 1977, Carol was married to William Haynes and they enjoyed over 10 years of marriage until his death, on April 15, 1987. After William’s passing, Carol returned to live in her hometown of Struthers.

In California, Carol was an active member of the community. A cancer survivor, Carol volunteered raising funds for Healing Odyssey Charity and Sandpipers, a volunteer organization of Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach.

Carol loved gardening and locally was a member of Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens. Carol was a proud member of both the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and the Clan Stewart Society, a Scottish Highland genealogy organization.

Carol was an active member of Lake Hills Community Church in Laguna Hills, California and was one of the first members of (Crystal) Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. Locally, Carol was a life member of the Struthers United Methodist Church.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory, her two children, Cheryl Ann (Gregg) Bebka of Youngstown and Craig (Lisa) Booher of Meridian, Indiana; one sister, Barbara E. Ankeny of Platte City, Missouri; one brother, Leonard W. “Bill” Massie, Jr. of Lake Tomahawk; five grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Bebka, Jonathan Miller, Jessica Neill and Joshua and Jacob Booher; four great-grandchildren, Crystal and James Atkinson, River Bebka and McKinley Booher.

In addition to her parents, Leonard and Elma, daughter, Carrie, and husband, William, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband and dear friend, Pete Booher.

Margaret Louise Conkle, Lisbon, Ohio

LISBON, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) –  Margaret Louise Conkle, 97, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1922 in Elkrun Township, she was a daughter of the late Frank E. and Lillian D. (McCormick) DeSellem.

A homemaker, she was a 1941 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School and a member of New Lisbon Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon. She was a member of Mount Nebo Grange, Columbiana County Doll Club, the Sunshine Club and was a poll worker for the Columbiana County Board of Elections for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her sons, Larry (Alice Marie) Conkle of Hanoverton and Lenn Conkle of Lisbon; two grandchildren, Peter John Conkle and Mary Alice Sigler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Edward Conkle in 1985 as well as her brothers, Lloyd, Frederick and Ross DeSellem.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2 at the Weber Funeral Home with the Reverend Jan Douglass officiating.

Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, prior to the service.

NEW CASTLE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Mable L.  Dewberry, 93, of New Castle, died peacefully, February 28, 2020, in Jameson Care Center.

Mrs. Dewberry was born August 15, 1926, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Adam and Helen Thompson.  

A homemaker, Mable was greatly loved by her family and friends. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and did all in her power to help them and be a loving influence in their lives. She will be forever missed.

Her husband, Lewis A. Dewberry, whom she married November 27, 1949, preceded her in death on July 14, 1987.

Mable is survived by her four children, Cathy Morris, Melissa (Bill) Frengel, Cynthia Steingrabe and Scott (Julie) Dewberry; six grandchildren, Rebecca (Ric) Hey, Elizabeth (Andy) Pratt, Robert (Melissa) Steingrabe, Jamie (Jason) McFerren and Courtney and Annalisa Frengel. In addition, Mabel was the loving grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, London Steingrabe, Owen, Carson and Ashton McFerren, Makayla and Rylee Hey, Owen and Jameson Pratt and Zory Moore.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mable was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Black. 

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. 

Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Neshannock Township.

Donald A. Bishop, Sr., Warren, Ohio

WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Donald A. Bishop, Sr., 63, of Warren, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 4:20 p.m. in his home.

He was born July 23, 1956 in Warren the son of Raymond M. and MaryAnn Hoso Bishop and was a graduate of McDonald High School, class of 1974.

Don started his career in law enforcement as a patrol officer with Braceville Police Department for two years and then continued on with the Warren Township Police Department for 32 years with 27 as a police officer and the last five and a half years as chief, retiring in May 2019.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police #198 where he was currently serving as President. Don was also a past member of the LaBrae Board of Education and was a sitting member of the Trumbull County Joint Vocational School Board and was currently serving on the Trumbull County Educational Service Center Board as acting President.

Don was a member of St. John Paul II Parish in Warren.

Don had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson and Notre Dame. He was quite the family man and enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially his two granddaughters.

Don will be sadly missed by his wife of 27 years, the former Steffanie R. Toth, whom he married on April 25, 1992; three sons, Donald A. (Christine) Bishop, Jr., Michael J. (fiancée Stacey Wiemer) Bishop and Bryan J. Bishop all of Warren; a sister, Terri A. Bishop of Warren; brothers, Raymond (Michelle) Bishop of Niles, John Bishop of Boardman and James (Cheryl) Bishop of McDonald; two granddaughters, Ashlynn and Carolynn; his father, Raymond, of McDonald and several nieces and nephews

Besides his mother, Don was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Pauline “Lena” Hoso, Sr. and by two uncles, whom he was very close to, Frank and John Hoso.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. all at St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North St. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Frantisek Katrinak officiating, will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Don’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thomas Urdea, Poland, Ohio

POLAND, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Thomas Urdea, 96, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 26, 2020 at Shepherd of the Valley, Poland, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born February 10, 1924 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John and Anna Urdea.

He served in the Pacific and European theaters during World War II as a Gunner’s Mate Second Class with the U.S. Navy.

After returning from the war, Thomas worked with various produce companies in the area, retiring from Santisi Produce Company as the produce manager.

He was a member of Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church in Boardman, a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council #4224, a member of the American Legion Post #290 and V.F.W. Post 7538.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Thomas treasured spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Thomas is survived by two daughters, Gail K. (John) Walsh of Boardman and Mary Lynn (David) Smercansky of Poland; three grandchildren, Christopher (Chrystie) Walsh of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Jeffrey Walsh of Boardman and Ryan (fiance’ Emily) Walsh of Westfield Center, Ohio and a great-grandson, Declan Patrick Walsh.

Besides his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, the former Catherine “Kay” Urdea, whom he married on September 7, 1946, died May 14, 2012; three brothers and four sisters.

There will be a Panachida Service on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 North Main Street in Poland.

Family and friends may call on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, where the Parastas service will be at 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church.

A Funeral Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, 7754 South Avenue in Boardman with Fr. Michael Farynets officiating.

Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery in Poland with Military Honors.

Michael Joseph Sherokee, Jr., Howland, Ohio

HOWLAND, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Michael Joseph Sherokee, Jr., 72, of Howland, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at University Hospital, surrounded by his family, after battling complications from a heart attack.

He was born on July 24, 1947 in Warren, Ohio to the late Michael J. Sherokee, Sr. and Caroline (DePlacito) Sherokee.

Michael graduated from Warren G. Harding High School class of 1965. He went on to earn a bachelors degree from Youngstown State University.

On August 12th, 1972 he married Donna M. Rossi and they spent the last 48 years together.

Michael worked for Delphi Packard for 53 years as a Tool and Die Maker.

Making wine and working in his garden were some of his favorite past times. He also enjoyed yelling at the T.V. during Cleveland sports games, talking politics to just about anyone and good food with good people. Most of all he loved his family and truly cherished the times they spent together.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Donna M. Sherokee of Howland; children, Michael D. (Laura Amoroso) Sherokee of Naples, Italy, Angela M. (Mark) Hall of Warren and Peter B. Sherokee of Howland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear sister, Carol A. Mease.

Friends and family may gather at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and also at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at the church on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., where Fr. Peter Haladej will officiate.

Michael will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta, Ohio.

William “Bill” J. Bicho, Sharon, PA

SHARON, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – William “Bill” J. Bicho, longtime resident of Brookfield, Ohio, entered eternal rest Wednesday night, February 26, 2020, following a sudden illness. He was 89.

Bill was born in Bowersville, Pennsylvania, on June 10, 1930, a son to John J. and Katherine (Kranyak) Bicho.

A 1948 graduate of Rossiter High School, Rossiter, Pennsylvania, he enlisted with the U.S. Army. Self was forgotten the day that Bill left his home to defend our flag and to help keep our country free during the Korean Conflict. He served bravely with the 24th Infantry while in Korea and Japan. He was honorably discharged from his duties in 1953.

He furthered his education in 1959 by attending the Shenango Valley Commercial Institute.

A spiritual man, he found solace in the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he belonged since 1948 and had served as an Usher. In addition, he is a current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sharon and a Lifetime Member of Local #717 Electrical Workers, Warren, Ohio.

His vocation was a packer for Packard Electric, Warren, a position he dedicated 29 years of service to before he retired in 1988.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, gardening and following both college & professional sports. He absolutely loved driving his “always new” Jeep Grand Cherokee; however, his devotion to his church was most important to him.

Bill is survived by his beloved extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, John T. Bicho, Joann Bicho and Helen Bicho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 79 Case Avenue, Sharon, Pennsylvania, 16146, where friends and family may gather from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m., prior to Mass.

His celebration with conclude with military honors being rendered.

Hanoverton, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Jason Ronald Dale Gantz, 44, died in the emergency room at Salem Regional Medical Center early Thursday morning, February 27, 2020.

Born October 6, 1975 in Salem, he was a son of Betty Lou Ramsey and Ronald Dale Gantz

A 1993 graduate of United Local High School and the Columbiana County Career Center, Jason will be remembered for his ability to make you laugh, but above all, he was a loving and caring man.

He enjoyed Motorsports and was a hard worker. He recently trained to be a welder.

He worked at Homestead Pools.

Survivors include his mother of Hanoverton; his father of Irvine, Kentucky; a sister, Patricia (Aaron) Laney and a brother, Joshua Gantz both of Hanoverton; brother, Ryan Gantz and sister, Sarah Gantz both of Irvine, Kentucky, as well as, several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Weber Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – On Thursday, February 27, 2020, Steven Dwayne Snyder, age 48, of Youngstown, passed away. 

He was born in Youngstown on May 30, 1971 to Norman D., Sr and Barbara L (Miller) Snyder.

Besides his mother, Steve is survived by his beloved daughter, Liberty Lynn Snyder, age 10; Liberty’s mother, Holly Kimble, of Canfield; brothers, David Snyder, Kevin (Nickole) Snyder; nieces, Macala Snyder, Maria Jones, all of Youngstown; nephew, Domanik Jones, of Austintown and extended family in Keyser, West Virginia.

Steven loved his baseball and football games, especially the Cleveland Indians and Browns. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3 pm at Canfield Christian Church, 123 Broadard Street, Canfield, OH 44446, followed by a fellowship luncheon in the Social Hall.

Stacy was born December 15, 1986 and was a lifelong area resident.

She worked as a manager at Family Video of Canton while attending college at Stark State College.

Stacy had a love for animals and enjoyed volunteering her time at local animal shelters.

Cantrell and last but not least, her dearly beloved dog, “Lizzie”, along with her three cats

Stacy was preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother, Emma Gall.
