Erika M. Gustafson, Austintown, Ohio

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Erika M. Gustafson, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Austinwoods Nursing Center.

She was born in Hechingen, Germany on May 27, 1938 to the late Albert and Kolthlinde Bausinger and became a naturalized citizen after immigrating from Germany.

Erika is survived by three children, Stephen (Theresa) Paris of Dublin, Ohio, Suzy (Tom) Lucas of Boardman, Ohio and Eric (Abby) Gustafson of Leetonia, Ohio and grandchildren, Dylan, Ian, Brendon, Madison and Harper.

Besides her parents, Erika was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gustafson.

At Erika’s request, no services will be held.

Dorothy E. Tumpak, West Salem Township, PA

WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Dorothy E. Tumpak, 90, of West Salem Township, passed away on Saturday morning, February 29, 2020 at her residence, with family by her side.

Dorothy was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on December 20, 1929 to the late Charles and Gladys (Rollins) Hayes.

Dorothy was a homemaker. For 15 years she was a dog groomer in Greenville and made porcelain dolls for 14 years.

She enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck at lottery and scratch-off tickets.

She was married to James Joseph Tumpak, Sr. on September 19, 1949 in Greenville. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Gloria Rez of Medford, Oregon, Mary Jones, Rose McCullough and her husband, Mark and Dorothy Adams, all of Greenville, Pennsylvania; son, James Tumpak, Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Greenville, Pennsylvania; two nieces and a nephew she raised as her children, Bonnie Schwanbeck of Greenville, Pennsylvania, Audrey Steiner and her husband, Bill and Robert Tumpak, all of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; a twin sister, Doris E. Elliott of Greenville, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Lillian Gallagher, Gladys Mae Kaltenbaugh and her husband, Lloyd, all of Clarks Mills, Pennsylvania, Shirley Ann German of Ohio and Kathy Jones and her husband, Bill, of Greenville, Pennsylvania; two brothers, George Hayes and his wife, Luann, of Sanford, Florida and David Hayes and his wife, Josephine “Joe,” of Brewster, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eldora Beatty and Betty Jane Hayes; two brothers, Williard Hayes and Herman Rollins; two grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2020 from 5:00 – 6:45 p.m. at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Avenue, Greenville.

A funeral service will follow visitation on Tuesday, March 4, 2020 at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Kent Bell of Bethel Life, officiating.

Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Jacquelyn Brown, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Christ Centered Church, 3300 Hudson Avenue, for Ms. Jacquelyn Brown, 71, of Girard, who peacefully entered eternal  rest on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Ms. Brown, affectionately known as “Jackie”, was born August 16, 1948 in Youngstown, a daughter of Wesley and Opal Patterson Salter. 

She was a 1966 graduate of East High School and had been employed by General Motors Lordstown, retiring after over 30 years of service. 

Jackie was a member of Christ Centered Church and was one of it’s founding members who enjoyed singing in the choir. 

A loving mother, Jackie enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, singing, music, cooking, but most importantly she devoted her entire life to her children and grandchildren.

Jacquelyn leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice in her peace, four children, Robin Coney-Jolly of  West Palm Beach, Florida, Timothy (Martina) Brown II and Terrence “Terry” Brown both of Columbus and Christopher Brown of Youngstown; a sister, Janet Salter of Youngstown; six grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Opal Salter.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Mary A. (Carney) Borosko, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Mary A. Borosko, 83, was called to home to rest Friday February 28, 2020, following an extended illness.

She was born May 6, 1936 in Youngstown, daughter to James and Josephine Tobin Carney.

In addition to being a loving wife and homemaker, she was also a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a long-time member of St. Dominic Church in Youngstown, Ohio.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond, whom she married on October 4, 1958. Together they raised five children who blessed them with eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her memory will be held close by her husband, Raymond H. and her children, Raymond C. (Dawn) Borosko, Brigid (Michael) Gunter, Jeanette (David) Tamulonis, Suzette (Maria) Borosko and Michael (Annette Willmitch) Borosko.

Also left to mourn her loss are her siblings, Ellen (Michael) Devine, Patrick (Mary Ellen) Carney, John (Marie) Carney and Michael (Linda) Carney.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Ann Williamson.

Family and Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street, Boardman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at St. Dominic Church, 77 East Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, celebrated by Rev. Vincent DeLucia.

SHARON, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Alan Joseph Sipos, 78, of Sharon, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 in his home.  

Alan was born on December 30, 1941 to Joseph and Margaret (Biro) Sipos in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Army.

Alan worked as a machinist for many companies, retiring from XAlloy.

On May 2, 1980 he married his wife, Arlene Booher Sipos, who survives at home.

He was a member of Grace Chapel Community Church. Alan was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Sharpsville Masonic Lodge 517 and Valley of New Castle Consistory.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching movies. Alan was an avid Sharpsville Blue Devil sports fan and also supported the University of Alabama.

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; children, Steven and Teena Sipos of Hermitage and Tammy (Frank) Zieminick of Farrell; grandchildren, Jordan Sipos, Haylee Sipos, Robert Zieminick and sister, Gaynell (David) Papay of Hermitage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sipos; mother, Margaret Sipos and brother, Richard Sipos.

Friends may call on Tuesday March 3, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 Main Street, Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.

A Masonic Service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 4:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margaret (Wokaly) Belline, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Margaret (Wokaly) Belline, 91, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, February 27, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

Margaret will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.

She was born February 14, 1929, in Fayette City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Suzanne (Calbally) Wokaly and moved to the Youngstown area in 1947.

Margaret was a proud homemaker and a true matriarch for her family. She held true to all the Italian traditions. She was an exceptional cook and baker and her family will miss her fabulous Italian greens.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, where she volunteered for time to weekly clean the church and help with special events. She was also a member of a monthly card club and bowling league where she served as secretary.

Margaret had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed going on vacations, visiting Casino’s to play games of chance, doing cross word and number puzzles along with playing board games.

Her husband, Anthony Joseph Belline, Sr., whom she married January 12, 1948, passed away December 23, 2014.

Margaret leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories, her children, Mary Wix of Youngstown, Janet (George, Sr.) Summers of Youngstown and Anthony Joseph, Jr. (Brenda) Belline of North Carolina,; five grandchildren, Allen (Tracy) Wix, Angela (Jim) Naples, George, Jr. (Marcy) Summers, Michael (Mary) Belline and Joseph Belline; 13 great-grandchildren, Dani (Christian), Nicholas, Matthew, Bianca, Samantha, Jeffrey, Bailey, Natalie, Alexa, Lauren, Maxson, Kaybree and Kacyn; a sister, Suzanne Stienmiller of West Virginia along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Anthony Wix and four brothers, George, Michael, John and David Wokaly.

Per Margaret’s request, there will be private services held.

NILES, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Anna R. Bates, age 94, formerly a 50 year resident of Champion, passed away peacefully Friday, February 28, 2020 at Continuing Health Care in Niles.  

She was born February 17, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of Lazo and Mary (Horvath) Radanovich.

Anna graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and worked in management for the State of Ohio Liquor Department.  

She belonged to several bowling leagues and Champion SCOPE. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed Ohio State and all Cleveland teams, especially the Indians. As her family said, “You wouldn’t find her watching Lifetime T.V. ESPN was her thing.”

She is sadly missed by her loving daughter, Linda McCready (Jeff) of Niles; two grandchildren, Stacie Leonhardt (Spencer) and Jeffrey McCready, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Abbie Hall and Aaron Leonhardt; one sister, Eva Esposito (Charles) of Niles and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her stepmother, who raised her, Elizabeth Radanovich; her husband, Edward A. Bates, who passed in 2006; three children who died in infancy, Richard, Catherine and Edward, Jr.; four sisters, Theresa Zakrajsek, Wilma Davenport, Viola Gower and Celia Davis and two brothers, Libert Potts and Frank Potts.

Per her request, services are private. 

Her urn will be laid to rest at Pineview Memorial Park.

William L. Shannon, Twinsburg, Ohio

TWINSBURG, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – William L. Shannon, 84, of Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away Friday morning February 28, 2020 in his residence.

He was born September 2, 1935 in Greenville to Elizabeth (Betty Lauffer) Shannon.

He was a 1954 graduate of the former Penn High School. He enlisted is the U.S. Navy in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He then graduated from the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago.

As an electrician, he was employed by several local manufacturing plants in their maintenance departments.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, attending all of their sporting events was a special joy.

In his younger years he enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. During those years he became a Master Gardener in Mercer County. He enjoyed being on the computer, reading, doing Sudoku puzzles and feeding/watching the birds.

Over the years he delivered flowers for several local florists in Greenville and Twinsburg. He always said this was the best job in the world, making people happy with flowers.

On February 9, 1957 he married Joanne Piai and they raised two children. In 1997 they moved to Twinsburg and built an in-law suite on their daughter and son-in-law’s home.

He was a member of Zions Reformed Church until moving to Twinsburg. He then joined Solon Community Church and was a member of the Trustees for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Joanne (Piai); a daughter, LeAnne and her husband, Ronald Stuver, of Twinsburg; a son, Kevin and his husband, Anthony Bramlett, of Ft. Smith, Arizona; two grandsons, Ryan Stuver and his wife, Jessica, of South Euclid, Ohio and Bradley Stuver and his wife, Ashley, of Edgewater, New Jersey; step grandchildren, Joseph Bramlett and his wife, Bea, of Bellevue, Washington and Brooke Bramlett of Leawood, Kansas; a brother, Hayes “Sonny” Shannon and his wife, Janet, of Greenville; a brother-in-law, John Piai and his wife, Elaine, of Beachwood, Ohio; an aunt, Lucinda Lauffer of Martin, Tennessee and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, with Rev. June Boutwell, Pastor, co-officiating with the Rev. Dr. Bertrice Wood, Pastor Solon Community Church. All in attendance of the service are welcome to join the family for a reception in Anderson Lounge of the church immediately
following the service.

Joyce Ann Campbell, Weathersfield Township, Ohio

WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Joyce Ann Campbell, 73, passed away at 7:23 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the St. Joseph Health Center.

She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, on January 11, 1947, the daughter of Delmar W. and Grace M. (Sparks) Campbell.

Joyce Ann was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a caring and loving person to her family and friends.

She retired from Lowe’s after working many years in customer service in the lumber department. She also loved hairdressing and was self-employed as a beautician and a caregiver to the elderly.

She enjoyed cooking, family picnics and holiday gatherings.

Joyce Ann is survived by several nieces, nephews and Colin Campbell, who affectionately called her “Grammy”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Nora L. Miller, Violet Campbell and six brothers, Charles, Everett, Sherman Sr., Dennis, Merle Sr., John Sr.

Calling hours will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.

The Funeral will follow at 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home, Rev. George Miller will officiate.

A private burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Mildred M. Tarr, 80, who passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Mildred was born October 24, 1939, in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of Robert White and Mildred (Farrell) White.

Mildred worked for the Youngstown School System for 42 years, retiring in 2018.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Mildred is survived by her children, Glen (Beth) Tarr of Maple Shade, Cheryl Davison of Youngstown, Albert (Jennie) Tarr of Austintown and Suzanne Vekasy of Austintown. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Brooke Walker, Tiffany Gilbert, Steven Tarr, Krysti Pollock, Thomas Vekasy, Taylor “Teller” Vekasy and Sean, Catilin and Bryan Tarr. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, Giovan and Gianna Gilbert, Savannah Davison and Phoenix Walker, Brianna, Logan and Zoe Pollock. Mildred also leaves behind a sister, Betty Morando of Florida.

Besides her parents; brother, Robert White and daughter, Judith. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Albert M. Tarr, whom she married August 16, 1958, with his passing in October 2009.

The family would like to thank the staff from The Woodlands at Austinwoods for their caring support during our time with them, as well as the staff from CrossRoads Hospice.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 and again on Wednesday, March 4, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service at the funeral home.

JAMESTOWN, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Janice A. McQuiston, age 76, of Porter Road, Greenville, passed away Wednesday morning, February 26, 2020, in The Grove at Greenville, following an extended illness.

She was born in Pittsburgh on August 17, 1943, a daughter of John and Adelia (Deutenberg) Mehring.

She was a 1961 graduate of Brentwood High School, Pittsburgh.

She married her husband, Russell McQuiston, who survives, on September 23, 1967.

She was employed as a secretary in the Psychology department at the University of Pittsburgh for 10 years.

While raising her family, she served the community as a Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, a hockey mom, a parent volunteer with the Buhl Mermaid Swim Club and a volunteer at St. Paul’s. Later, she was employed as a secretary at Ridgewood at St. Paul’s for 10 years until she retired.

In addition to Mr. McQuiston, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Callihan and her husband, Michael of Purcellcille, Virginia and Elizabeth Ansell and her husband, Brian, of Shawnee, Kansas; a son, Andrew McQuiston and his wife, Emily, of Cary, North Carolina; a brother, Homer Mehring and his wife, Barbara, of Pittsburgh and nine grandchildren, Mary Callihan, Thomas Callihan, Megan Callihan, Philip Callahan, Gwen Ansell, Gavin Ansell, Alena McQuiston, Liliana McQuiston and June McQuiston.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was born July 13, 1967, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of John Ward and Rebecca Kling.

Jane was a member of Liberty Bible Church and was employed at Consumer Support Services as a caregiver for 18 years.

She was a fantastic gardener, enjoyed cooking, crafts, genealogy and planning parties.

She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Blake of Cortland, Ohio, Kara Urey and Nina Urey, both of Vienna, Ohio; lifelong companion, David Urey of Vienna, Ohio; son-in-law, Bill Blake; mother, Rebecca Kling; father, John Ward; brother, John (Sherry) Palo of Newton Falls, Ohio; sisters, Jean (Tim) Coudriet and Leah Clarke, both of Niles, Ohio, Kim Ward of Youngstown, Ohio, Charlotte Hildreth of Fowler, Ohio and Sarah Hildreth of Cortland, Ohio and her beloved grandchildren, Ashlynn, Billy and Joey.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers-in-law; ex-husband and one sister-in-law.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Liberty Bible Church, 2111 Sodom Hutchings Road, NE, Vienna, Ohio, 44473, where Pastor Andy Lake will officiate.

She was born April 1, 1981, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of Connie Sue Proffitt Metz, the late Paul Randall Alley Sr. and Bill and Claudia Persavich who helped raise her.

She was a graduate of Chardon High School Class of 2000 and worked at PNC Bank as a teller and as a loan officer.

She enjoyed reading, tennis, Law & Order SVU, her football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, spending time with family and friends.

Her life was filled with the enjoyment of her family and her sons, most of all.

Tiffany was a blessing from the Lord Jesus Christ and she will always be in our hearts, until we see her again.

She is survived by her mother, Connie S (Bob) Metz; parents, Bill (Claudia) Persavich; sons, Jason Billings, Jr. and Alex Billings; sisters, Heather (Jason) Breeden and Stephanie (Jessi) Noyes; brothers, Joey Persavich, Randall (Angie) Alley, Paul (Rebekah) Alley; maternal grandmother, Dixie McCray; paternal grandmother, Maryann Merriman; her love, Paul Baker; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jason P Billings, Sr.; father, Paul Randall Alley, Sr.; brother, Paul Randall Alley, Jr.; grandfathers, Homer L. Proffitt, Delbert McCray and James (Annie) Alley; as well as uncle, John Proffitt.

Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, March 2, 2020, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio, where her uncle, Rev. Thomas Proffitt will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., on March 2, 2020, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will take place on Tuesday at Bicknell Cemetery in Portland, Ohio.

A television tribute will air Monday, March 2, at the following approximate times: 5:17 a.m. on WKBN, 8:39 a.m. on FOX, 5:21 p.m. on WYTV and 6:35 p.m. on MyYTV.

WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Dorothy M King, 88, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020, at Monarch Skilled Nursing in Marysville.

She was born May 9, 1931, to Carl and Elizabeth (Hopwood) McFarland of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

She graduated from Uniontown Senior High in 1950 and was employed by the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania for 18 years. She was later employed by Neal’s Shoe Store in Warren for six years.

She was a member of the Howland Community Church and a former member of
the Fifth Wheel Club.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, David L. King of Warren and Shawn P (Cindy)
King of Marysville; her grandson, Ryan C. King of Marysville and her sister, Janice L. Roebuck of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death on April 30, 2007, by her husband, LeRoy I. King, whom she married June 12, 1960 and her brother, Chester (Shirley) McFarland of Grantsville, Maryland.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, Warren where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.

Private burial will in the Crown Hill Burial Park.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice Care of Marion, Ohio.

WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Chester A. Boland, 67, passed away Thursday morning, February 27, 2020, at Mercy Health, St. Joseph Hospital in Warren.

Chester was born October 14, 1952, in Youngstown, the son of the late Gilbert and Jane (Hays) Boland.

He graduated from Struthers High School in 1971 and was a lifelong area resident.

Chester enjoyed playing miniature golf, go-karting, doing word search puzzles, enjoyed coffee and stopping at McDonald’s and Arby’s, his daily trips to the candy machine at White Oak Healthcare. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and treasured attending his family reunions.

Chester is survived by a sister, Margaret “Peggy” L. Gratton of Youngstown; his sister-in-laws, Beverly Mae Boland of Struthers and Karin Boland of Austintown; four nephews, Greg (Jayne) Boland, with whom he shared a close friendship with, Shawn (Christa) Boland, Benjamin Gratton, Rick Poole; five nieces, Bonnie (George) Macinga, Brenda (Tom) Squicquero, Kimberly Boland, Amie Boland and Rachel Williams and great-nieces and nephews.  

Besides his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, the former Josephine R. Parks, whom he married on December 18, 1976, who died May 2, 1996; his stepdaughter, Susan Parks; two brothers, Hugh Boland and Thomas Boland.

Per Chester’s request, private services were held.

There are no calling hours.

She was born May 7, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of Gene A. and Ada M. (Hines) Smith.

A lifelong area resident, Dollie was a 1972 graduate of Joseph Badger High School.

She was employed at Caroselli’s Restaurant in Kinsman for many years and the Kinsman Senior Center.

She was a member of the Rock of Grace Family Ministries Church in Kinsman where she enjoyed working in the nursery. Dollie enjoyed volunteering and served as the Kinsman area representative for the Salvation Army and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Kurt) Osborne of Warren, Ohio, Janet Davis of Warren, Ohio, Jennifer (Harry) Samuels of Kinsman, Ohio and Sarah Davis of Kinsman, Ohio; one son, Zachary Davis of Kinsman, Ohio; one brother, David Smith of Kinsman, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Cerena, Dalton, William, Anissa, Dontae, Madison, Raegan, Brennan, Gwen and Adalynn and two great-grandchildren, Kathrynn and Aniyah.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, David Davis; her second husband, Clyde Davis and a granddaughter, Kayla Osborne.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, the former, Mary Dedich, whom he has been married to for 63 years; a daughter, Cheryl Higgins; grandchildren, Douglas Higgins, Jennifer (Scott) Ellis, Danielle (Tom) Lindic and Nicholas Horner; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Hunter Ellis and Thomas, Jonathan and Michael Lindic and a great-great-grandchild, Payton Ellis.

Besides his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by a son, Paul M. Horner.

NILES, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – David Lowell Myers, Sr., 65, of Niles, Ohio passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 4, 1954 in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Thomas G. and Mattie L. (Sinnet) Myers.

On March 28, 1979 he married Karen L. Enderton and they spent the last 41 years together.

David graduated from Niles McKinley High School class of 1973.

He worked for General Motors Lordstown, starting in the van plant and moving to the car plant, eventually retiring after 30 years.

David loved tinkering in his garage and would mess around with anything that had an engine in it. In his earlier years he used to enjoy hunting and fishing, but more recently enjoyed watching westerns, going to Bingo with his wife and playing cards. His favorite thing to do was to be with his sons and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Karen L. Myers of Niles, Ohio; sons, David L. Myers, Jr., Gregory J. (Jessica Blank) Myers and Michael T. (Cheyanne Parish) Myers, all of Lordstown, Ohio; nine grandchildren and his buddy, “Bosco”.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas G. Myers, Jr.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2020 at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, 533 North Park Ave., Warren, OH 44481.

Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the funeral home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate.
